Meadow Section Restoration

Asked April 16, 2014, 4:30 PM EDT

I'm interested in restoring an abandoned/fallow meadow with native wildflowers that are beneficial to pollinators. I plan to start with a small (500 square foot) section. Do I need a full soil analysis or just PH? I do not plan to use synthetic fertilizers or soil amendments. I will only amend with organic compost or green manure/cover crops such as buckwheat. How do you recommend I prepare the soil (till or no-till method) prior to planting a wildflower seed mixture?
