I am looking to acquire compost for lawn and gardening. Are there any sources available for free or cheap. I live in Bellefonte, pa. I live on the top of purdue mountain rd and I have good soil, but also a lot of big rocks right below the soil and I would like to start building more soil on top of it. I will be adding woodchips on top of the compost, so what is the best compost to incorporate that I can readily get? Thanks for your time. Donna
Hello, and thanks for using the Ask an Expert System.
I suggest that you contact the Center County Master Gardeners Hotline. A Master Gardener there should be able to provide information on local sources of compost.
