Dear Ms./Mr.Expert Is there any place where I can get any kind of plant for free ( indoors/outdoors/edible/ornamental)? I don't have money, and know very little about plants. But I really want to start taking care of my garden/backyard. I would appreciate any tips you could give me. Thank you!

We do not have resources for free plants. However, this time of year gardeners (your neighbors) are out in their yards dividing and transplanting shrubs and perennials and may be happy to share their plants. Flower and vegetable seeds can be inexpensive and you can look for flowers that self seed such as marigolds and zinnias.
