Canning Homemade Terriyaki Sauce

Is it safe to can homemade Teriyaki Sauce, water bath or pressure canning, and how long.

I am not aware of a research based recipe from a reliable source for home canning Teriyaki Sauce so would recommend that you freeze it for long term storage. It is one of those sauces that is a mixture of lots of different ingredients both high and low acid so botulism could be problem if not processed correctly. We do have tested recipes for barbecue, chili and tomato sauces that can be canned.

It is not always possible to duplicate commercial foods at home. It takes a lot or research and dollars to come up with a safe recipe.
