Hi,
You don't specifiy where you are growing your seedlings (windowsills are NOT ideal) or if you are providing lights and heat. All of these can affect how well your seedlings do. I am attaching good information from the University of Minnesota on starting seeds indoors. I hope this helps!

Dear seed starter,One possibility of what might be happening to your seedlings is that you may have a poor light source. The Q&A article at the following blog goes into additional details: http://awaytogarden.com/why-vegetables-seedlings-stretch-and-get-spindly/Another possibility could be a disease problem known as damping-off disease which can be caused by several fungal diseases. The following factsheet from the University of Mass. gives some details on this disease: https://extension.umass.edu/floriculture/fact-sheets/damping-bedding-plants-and-vegetables
