Prepackaged seeds.

Asked March 21, 2014, 2:04 PM EDT

I found some veggie seeds that are apparently several years open still in the original never opened package. Will they still grow if I plant them now or do they have a 'shelf life'.

I attended the seminar yesterday in Palestine and it was extremely interesting...would like to attend more..

They should still be good as long as they were kept in a somewhat controlled environment, like low light, cool place like in the house. Seed companies place a expiration date on them for a reason, so they might not be quite as viable as they originally were. Seed is not expensive, you might want to go purchase some new seed and not waste a lot of time on something that is not going to perform as you might hope for.
