I would like to know when to plant Veggi. seeds in trays for planting later in the spring?

Since you are not specific as to what vegetables, I can't be either. There are some vegetables do best when directly seeded in the garden...like beans and carrots and root crops and others. There are some like tomatoes, peppers and eggplant that do best as transplants. Those are started under fluorescent lights about six to eight weeks before you are going to harden them off and plant them in the garden.

It is better to use individual pots instead of trays. If you have a disease, it will spread like wildfire throughout the tray because the seeds are all in the same container.
