Apple tree cankers
What is it? growths-Pink swelling (bumps) on trunk, including graft,and laterals. This is an espalier that was planted in 1997. M9/111/Arkansas Black Should tree be cut down?

Pruning canker out of an apple tree is the usual cultural control recommendation, so having the canker at the graft location is a real concern. Please provide photos of your tree, as there may be a different issue, so correct diagnosis is important.
