Chokecherry transplant.

I've got a few mature chokecherry bushes that are going to be destroyed. Would it come back if I cut to the ground and moved them if enought of the root came with it?

Yes, it is possible to propagate chokecherries from the root crown. It is also possible to propagate new chokecherry bushes from the rhizomes. The rhizomes are the underground stems. Fortunately, chokecherries are quite easy to grow under either method. However, I would wait until April to do this.
