I was on vacation and left some apples on my tree (Frozen now) What is the best way to handle apples left on the tree past prime; leave on, pick, etc. I would like to do what is best for next year's fruit. Thank you

Hi,
I think it would be a good practice to remove the apples that you can to help prevent limb breakage if we get socked with heavy snow or ice. Leaving them will not likely harm fruit production for next year, however.

What will happen to the apples if I don't pick them? Will they fall off? Or should I make sure to get them off before the spring bloom?

I imagine that they will fall off. If not, I would get them off before the tree blooms. Have a great Thanksgiving!
