Do I need to do anything with sedum and ice plant before winter?

Do sedum and ice plant require any special kind of fall care or winterization, any cutting back? The sedum we have is lemon ball sedum and did really well this summer. Just not sure what (if anything) it needs right now in November. Thanks!

Sedum and ice plant are both succulent perennials that require little or no preparation for winter. Since they store moisture in their leaves you want them to be placed in a well drained area. A light covering of leaves for mulching should be all they need at most. In the spring, you can use a hand cultivator (any small claw-like hand tool) to remove leaves and debris in preparation for summer.
