I have a birch tree in my front yard and I am curious as to what kind it is. It is currently turning yellow. It is a rough brown bark. It only has one trunk. It is about 30-40 ft tall.

There's a few birches with leaves similar to those in your photo. If bark is very rough and peeling as in photo it is Heritage River birch (Betula nigra 'Heritage').Be sure to water its rooting area during dry warm spells in winter.
