Virginia Button weed
How do I control Virginia Button weed for St. Augustine and keep spreading from my neighbors yard
Harris County Texas

Virginia buttonweed is difficult to control. If you have a few plants manually removing is you best approach. This weed has a taproot so you have to remove the entire plant tops and roots. VA buttonweed also likes wet conditions, if you are still watering your lawn, cut back on your watering and allow the soil to dry between watering.
I am also attaching some additional resources that talk about other control options.
