I have a pressure canner which I used in the spring. Half way through the process, after the pressure had built up to 10# of pressure, it lost all pressure and raising the temperature would not bring it back at all. Should I just throw my canner away, or would it be able to be repaired?

It should be able to be repaired. Let me know what type it is.

It is a Montgomery Wards MagicSeal pressure cooker/canner, Model 5519c. The seal ring, plug and vent was replaced in 2010. It has worked fine ever since until this spring.

Have you had the dial gauge checked recently. You can have this done at your local extension office.

I have not, but I will. Can you tell me what the hours are for the Darke County office?
