What amount of lime should be applied to an acre of residential lawn?

Since you do not say why you think you need liming of your grassy areas I'm going to send you a couple of good sites to read up on such requirements. The one from Ohio could be considered a very good source because Ohio soil conditions are quire similar to that of Michigan's soils. One thing to condier in Michigan however is that phosphorus is plentiful in Michigan and manufacturers are reducing the amount of phosphorus in homeowner products so don't be upset if the package content levels show a reduction in available phosphorus.
