Unsealed Split Pea Soup

Asked September 8, 2013, 2:10 PM EDT

I made the Split Pea Soup recipe from the Ball Blue Book of Canning. After processing, it didn't seal. Can I reprocess it in the pressure cooker for another 1 hour and 15 minutes?

You can reprocess the soup if it is within 24 hours. Process for the original time and I would use new lids. If it is past 24 hours you can refrigerate it for a week or so or you can freeze it. If you freeze it be sure to leave enough head space so the jars do not break for the expanding soup.
