white worms on top of grass

Asked September 8, 2013, 12:24 PM EDT

My yard is presently being treated for grubs. This am I found white worms on top of my grass. Some of them were larger than others (plumper). It had rained early hours of the morning. I am wondering if these are grubs or what they are and do I need to be alarmed?

There are several beetle species that have life cycles that are under ground especially lawns. Take a look at the following fact sheets for guidance.

There are windows of opportunity for controlling these pests. As always review and follow pesticide instructions when considering chemical controls for pests.
Thanks,
