wild cucumber

Asked August 27, 2013, 12:20 PM EDT

I have wild cucumber vines growing from the edge of the woods and into my lawn and over my shrubs. It seems like it has grown over six feet just this past week. How can I get rid of this plant? Is there any adverse reaction to touching this plant?

Your wild cucumber is not poisonous but the fruit is inedible and will cause a burning sensation if eating attempted. Digging is a good control method or the careful use of Glyphosate is also recommended. Dicamba is not recommended around trees or shrubs.
