bent branches

Asked August 5, 2013, 3:49 PM EDT

I have an Ash tree thats 13-14 years old. With the last windstorm in June, the branches are bent and the tree has lost its shape. I read on your website that the branches will not come back to their original place. Would pruning the tree be helpful at all?

Pruning might be helpful depending upon the configuration of the healthy and damaged branches. It's probably best to ask a certified arborist or forester to look at the tree onsite and decide what should be done improve its appearance and structure. If the tree is large, a professional should do the work too.
