Bagworms in pine trees.

Hi- I found alot of bagworms in my pine trees and was wondering what is a good treatment for them. I was thinking of talstar one insecticide but thought I would ask you guys first. What do you think? Thanx Phil

The size of your response really depends on the size of your problem. For a few small-ish pines hand-picking is best, cheapest and avoids toxic sprays. For larger trees or many trees you may need to spray but the timing is important (you're probably too late now). See this article from the midwest which is also good advice for Delaware:

Bagworms are unsightly but the only trees to die from them have already been stressed by more serious problems.
