Fracking: High Pressure, High Volume, Toxic Fluids, Vertical and Horizontal Hydraulic Fracturing

Asked August 1, 2013, 1:28 PM EDT

Well casings and capping, structural analysis, for the Oil and Gas Industry.
Has anyone at MSU seen the structural design specifications for the casings and capping process and systems on the new, High Pressure, High Volume, Toxic Fluids, Vertical and Horizontal Hydraulic Fracturing Process?
Has anyone reviewed their design?
Can anyone estimate, the practical life of the casings and capping system being exposed to the toxic chemicals identified and/or anticipated.
If good construction standards and procedures are followed?
Good concrete cracks.
The best Stainless Steel, rusts.

All of the things you mention are under the purview of the Department of Environmental Quality Office of Oil, Gas and Minerals. They are the regulators of the industry. If you have questions about hydraulic fracturing and well construction standards and regulations, please contact them.
