I have beetles on my milkweed that are rounded and about the size of lady bugs, but some are all orange (a dull orange) and some are red with a symmetrical black shape on them. Do you know what these are?

Your insect is the Milkweed Leaf Beetle, Labidomera clivicollis, sometimes called the 'Swamp' Milkweed Leaf Beetle since it prefers 'swamp milkweed'. It will feed on regular milkweed, however. If control is desired, manual removal is recommended.
