I was given this plant a few years ago. It blooms most of the summer, long necks of small white flowers. It spreads by itself, coming up every year.

This was a tough one to try to identify with the image. We've had six people look at it and we think it's Lysimachia ephemerum, otherwise known as Silver Loosestrife.

Excellent information. I googled images of silver loosestrife and there it is! I thought it acted and looked like a Lysimachia but could never find photos of it. I have seen it in plantings at a rest area in Massachusetts but the folks inside the office had no idea what it was. I certainly appreciate your help and all eight opinions! I gave some to my daughter-in-law a few years ago and she can't get rid of it, even with RoundUp. So I call it the 'mother-in-law' plant. ;-)

Thank you glad we could help!
