Emerald Ash borer

Asked July 24, 2013, 10:53 AM EDT

What is the best way to proactively protect my (green) ash trees? Currently theses are still very healthy, but I know there are trees within a mile of my home that are affected already. Should they be treated yearly?

Anoka County Minnesota

The following website discusses management and protection options for homeowners who care for healthy ash trees in quarantined counties or within 15 miles of an infestation. A qualified tree care professional should be able to estimate the cost of available chemicals and the service needed to apply them.
