Asked July 24, 2013, 1:12 AM EDT

How do I determine a fair price to charge a lessee to graze livestock on my land? 39 acres with a large pond, fenced. Thank you

the website below will take you to cash lease values collected by NASS over the 2009-10 years. You may want to talk to your County Extension Ag Agent to see how the published numbers compare to what he may have heard. the extent of the drought over the last couple years, and it's impact on your acreage could have a big impact on the forage your acreage will generate and it's value to some one leasing it. http://www.nass.usda.gov/Statistics_by_State/Texas/Publications/TXcashRent2010.pdf Please let me know if you need more or different information.
