Clusters of perfectly healthy leaves have been falling from one of our oak trees. The small branches appear to have been sliced off at an angle -- similar to the way one would cut flowers to put in a vase. The interior wood appears to be perfectly healthy also. We didn't see squirrels or other creatures in the upper limbs when the last clusters just came down. Any ideas as to what may be going on?

This is squirrel damage. They are building or re-fortifing their nests and drop many as they scurry along to make their nest. The clusters could also be falling because the clusters were dropped and landed in the tree and eventually fell.
