I have fall asters that were just starting to sprout nicely but suddenly they turned burned & withered. We've had a few warm days, low 80's & lots of rain. Is this a disease or what?

A photo of the damaged leaves of your fall asters would have been very helpful. We have been getting many calls and emails about perennials that are being damaged by four lined plant bug. Their damage makes dark, necrotic circles in leaves. Asters are certainly a plant that could be damaged by them.
