A bunch of the cherries on our tree are turning half brown. I'm attaching a picture. Do you know what this is?

That is the fruit symptom of bacterial canker. This is a bacterial disease that normally affects the leaves and shoots. It is caused by cold rainy weather. The disease has run its course this year and no treatment is necessary.
