I HAVE, WHAT I THINK ARE MILLER MONTHS. THEY ARE ABOUT 1/4" LONG DO NOT FLY FAST AND SEEM TO LIKE FOODS WITH FLOUR. ALTHO, NOW I HAVE THEM FLYING EVERYWHERE IN MY KITCHEN. I GOT RID OF ALL THE FLOUR ITEMS. HOW DO I GET RID OF THEM WITHOUT POISON SINCE I HAVE A 6 LB DOG. THANK YOU.

While you have called them Miller moths, I think what you have described are Indian Meal Moths. There is an excellent article to be found at http://ohioline.osu.edu/hyg-fact/2000/2089.html. Basically, you need to clean out all areas where they may be hiding, freeze or toss any infested food - they also like chocolate- and use food, including dog food promptly. Some will sell "traps" but all they are are pheronomic lures and will mostly give you an indication you have a problem - a fact you already know. I would encourage you to keep the doors closed so they don't go elsewhere in your home and make other mischief.
Good luck with your problem; it sounds like you are on the path to solving it.Thank you for allowing us to help you with your gardening questions.
