Ash Trees

Asked May 23, 2013, 11:17 AM EDT

We have a very old Ash Tree in front our store and we are concerned it has those borer insects. How can we get in touch with someone to come out and look for us and let us know what can be done to save the tree? Christine Blight Christine's Creations 8494 Main Street Woodstock, GA 30188

Christine,
Thank you for contacting the Cherokee County UGA Extension Office and Master Gardeners concerning the Ash tree growing near your store, and the possibility of a boring insect being present. I have included a link to the International Society of Arboriculture. They certify arborist and through their web site you can find a certified arborist in your area. Most arborist will come and evaluate the tree at no cost. Please contact us if you have additional questions.
