wasps inside oranges

Asked May 23, 2013, 8:01 AM EDT

Hi! Over the last few decades I have found a wasp inside my orange! A few times it has been just inside the peel where the navel is but this year found one right insdie the orange intact...not pleasant but interesting. No one I know personally has ever found this! lol Have you ever heard of this and if so, how and why do they get stuck in there? Would really love to hear about this - thanks so much - Jennie Watterson, Whitby, Ontario Canada

Hi, While I am a gardener in Ontario, I do not have any experience with oranges. So I'd suggest you contact theFlorida Extension Service: http://solutionsforyourlife.ufl.edu/.
