soil testing

Does the $25 soil test kit provide information on PH levels to determine the appropriate amount of lime application? Does the emailed report provide actual details on how much lime to add based on the results?

The soil test self mailer comes with a recommendation that includes:
Soil type
Soil pH
Percentage of organic matter
Report on the amount of phosphorus, potassium, magnesium and calcium in the soil.
Your recommendation (what you can use) includes an amount for nitrogen. It also includes a recommendation for phosphorus and potassium, If they are needed. You might get a recommendation for lime, if it is needed or sulfur, if it is needed. This depends on the chosen crop and your soil pH.

So the pH is going to determine if your soil requires an adjustment.
