I built a garden salad table and I'm a little confused about the dirt I should use. I've read that it should be a soil-less media. Is that correct t?

Thank you for contacting Master Gardener. Many designs for a Garden Salad Table suggest using a 50:50 mix of a soilless growing media and a high quality compost. A soilless growing media is a potting soil composed of sphagnum moss or coconut coir fiber and other materials like vermiculite, and perlite. Soilless potting mixes and composts are readily available at local garden centers and also many home improvement big box stores.
