I am looking into using a rain barrel to water the vegetables in my garden, however in order to have a rain barrel I need to place a Mosquito Donut in it to avoid an infestation. So is the chemical that is used inthe Mosquito Donut ok to use for the garden?

There is not much research on using the water in your rain barrel to water your vegetables. You will have to use your own judgment. Here are some considerations. Make sure you clean out your rain barrel once a year of all debris. Monitor your roof for squirrels or bird feces from roosting birds (possible pathogen risk) or any chemicals (particulates from shingles). If you decide to use the water for your vegetables, water around the base of your plants, not the foliage. Bt dunks are not a human risk.
