I just heard about a virus coming thru that kills all impatiens. What's up with this

Denver County Colorado garden insects

There is a "new" fungal disease of impatiens called impatiens downy mildew. It can quickly devastate impatiens plantings. However, it is expected to be more of a problem where spring and summer humidity are higher than in CO, like the East Coast, Midwest, etc. For now - don't be afraid to plant Colorado-grown impatiens in your annual flower beds. Or, consider planting New Guinea impatiens instead; it's resistant to this downy mildew

Thank you so much.
