Please recommend a post-emergent herbicide I could use on an established lawn in Washington, DC to control broad leaf weeds such as dandelions, clover, other undersirable weeds, etc. I would perfer a liquid form, if possible. Also, how long should I wait before seeding after applying the herbicide? Thanks. Robert White

Trimec is a liquid herbicide that can be used on broadleaf weeds. Check the label to see how long you need to wait before planting seed. It is usually about three weeks. The best time to plant grass is between Aug 15 and Oct. 15. http://www.mdturfcouncil.org/admin/uploadfiles/tt-49-broadleaf-weed-control.pdf http://extension.umd.edu/sites/default/files/_images/programs/hgic/Publications/HG101%20Guide%20to%20Controlling%20Weeds%20in%20Cool%20Season%20Turf.pdf
