Please identify this.
Client has this in sporadic places in his yard. It is mostly showing up in bear spots. He has noticed it where there once was a vegetable garden and also where there had been an annual flower garden. This has occurred in previous seasons, but is now becoming widespread.

Thanks for the question! The first thing to do is smell the plant. If there is no onion-y odor it is probably Star Of Bethlehem. If there is an odor look at the leaf- if the leaf is hollow it is wild garlic and if it is flat it is wild onion. All of these plants take persistence to control. The best information I found for control is published by Missouri Botanical Gardens. If you google "Wild Garlic and Wild Onion" you should find it. Hope this helps.
