Drought Tolerant Groundcover

Asked May 2, 2013, 5:06 PM EDT

Hello- I would like to know if I should grow Wooly Thyme or Turkish Speedwell at my house in Denver, CO. Are these varieties drought tolerant? I want to plant a fast spreading, drought tolerant groundcover on the southeast corner of my property. It is an extremely sunny and dry corner. I do not want to water this corner very often. Thanks!

Either plant could work but you will need to water at least everyother week if you want the plants to grow at all. You may also consider any of the sedums, sages, or manzanitas from the Plant Select program. www.plantselect.org
