I have been looking and asking, but I am sorry to say there is no good material for controlling onions and garlic. It is hard to get a contact material like glyphosate into the plant because of the waxy cuticle and once the plant is established all you are doing is killing the top which then regrows from the bulb. I don't think the grass herbicides will work. I think you best bet would be to try Sandea which is labeled in blueberries for nutsedge control. This material might work on lilies which is what onions and garlic are.
