western bean cutworm in dry beans

Asked April 18, 2013, 11:42 AM EDT

in dry beans I was wondering if the western bean cutworm moth or larvae have a preference for certain bean types?. Bean types grown in my area are white, black, kidney, cranberry, azuki, and Otebo. Do the larvae have preference for one tissue type(leaf, flower, or pod) over another? My understanding is the larvae have a preference for pods.
