Mulch and groundcover
Will mulching a bed that has groundcover (sweet woodruff) too early be detrimental to the groundcover?
Lancaster County Pennsylvania
I'm not certain what you mean by 'too early". Generally speaking you should much in an effort to reduce weeds and keep maintenace low. It appears that your queston is from the Lancatser, PA area and the weather here has been quite dry for the last few weeks so it would be advisable to water throrougly, fertilize and then mulch to help keep the moirsture in the ground. You should also turn the mulch and aerate to eliminate any "hot spots" that might burn the sweet woodruff. Thank you
