bean leaf 'wilt'

Asked April 2, 2013, 2:22 PM EDT

My table beans, (green beans) of 3-4 varieties sometime suffer from a drying and a 'wilting' or 'crinkling' of some of the leaves. The affected leaves become so dry as to crumble. There is no sign of insect damage or eggs on the affected leaves. The plants continue to grow and produce tho possibly at lower rates than is expected. I don't use insecticides or herbicides. Any ideas or recommendatons?

Thank You!

Sounds as though you might have a pathogen vs insect. I've attached a fact sheet on common diseases for bean in the Front Range. See if that helps to narrow down your issue. If not, let us know if we can help further. http://www.ext.colostate.edu/pubs/crops/02913.html
