Blueberries require a soil pH of 4.5 to 5.5. It would be very difficult to grow them in Utah. The soil pH in central Utah is much too high and it would take a long time to lower it to the level you need to be able to plant. They have a shallow root system 18 to 24 inches and also require a moist soil year around.
