Pesticide resistance genes

Asked March 28, 2013, 11:23 AM EDT

Are there many common resistance genes responsible for cross-resistance to bacteria and eukaryotic pesticide resistance organisms (e.g. Insects) and plants (weeds) ? There are lots of biocide resistance genes ( e.g. qacA) present in bacterial population responsible for resistance to disinfectants, detergents etc but are these genes common in pesticide resistance?
