When to plant mind seeds

I live in Grand Junction, CO and was wondering when was a good time to plant mint seeds? Can they handle a freeze?

You can start them indoors, or wait until the soil warms to start them outside. They are very hardy. A word of caution though - mints hybridize readily, meaning that they are less likely to breed true from seed. To be sure you are getting what you want, consider starting mint from small plants, either from a nursery or from a neighbor (who probably has too much!)
