Wasp Problem

Asked March 14, 2013, 11:11 AM EDT

Last summer I had a huge infestation of wasps in my back patio. I have many blooming perennials and annuals that seem to attract them. I looked for a nest around my property but never found one and used yellow jacket traps that were overly successful but didn't seem to put a dent on the numbers in the area. Are there any other methods of keeping them away? Any certain plants that could offer assitance in repelling them? Thank you for any information that can aid me in returning to enjoying my patio again.

Good Morning - This article should be helpful. Note, to be efective, the queen needs to be destroyed in the early spring. David Smukler - CSU Extension http://www.colostate.edu/Depts/bspm/extension%20and%20outreach/Yellowjackets.pdf
