transplanting when - a pink petticoat enkiathus campanulatus

Asked March 13, 2013, 2:08 PM EDT

My tree is about 6' tall and in a container on the deck. I will remove the wooden container and move it into the back yard onto a raised mound in partial sun to be free. It's about to leaf and bloom and I'm certain it's going to need a little root trimming. Is this a good time to try to transplant? Thank you.

Yes, the next month is a good time to transplant. Watch the weather to try and avoid any temps below 32 degrees or mulch the roots with 6 inches of organic material.
