avacado tree

Asked March 8, 2013, 8:03 PM EST

My grandsons and I planted avacado pits and they are gorwing great. My question is: They are about 3 feet tall. Should I cut them back so they bush out or is it to late to do that?

Hi:

I would assume it is not too late to do so. You could always try doing one and seeing what kind of a response you get. It should respond fairly quickly by branching out immediately beneath the cut.
