Hello and thank you for submitting your question to "Ask an Expert" tool!

When pruning blueberries, blackberries, raspberries and grapes a good rule of thumb is to remember is that you don't want to prune too early. You would like to see the harshest months of winter pass before you begin cutting. For northern Ohio I would recommend March. Please see below for links to pruning clinics in your area. If they are too far for you to travel you will want to check with your county extention office for other clinics locally to you. I've also added a link from the Ohio State Extention Office, this link will give you information on how to obtain the Midwest Home Fruit Production Guide. Lots of good information available there!

Thank you again for your question. Please don't hesitate to respond with updates or any questions.
