Thank you for asking about this plant. Though it can have a slightly weedy habit, it is a traditional garden perennial, common lungwort [pulmonaria officinalis]. After blooming, I cut mine back when the leaves get ragged and mildewy. They regrow in a few weeks and look pretty good the rest of the year. They tend to like some summer watering, and shade to part-shade. Left to seed, you'll have more volunteers each year.
There are more colors of flowers and leaf spots, also increased disease resistance, now available for sale.
